Yunnan cuisine is renowned for its pickled pepper, and this establishment does not disappoint. The food was delectable, featuring a harmonious balance of spiciness and sourness that left me craving more. Despite my request for additional spiciness, the dish was perfectly balanced. The service was attentive, and the ambiance was inviting. The establishment provided ample parking space.

Surprising find of this Yunnan restaurant in San Gabriel. This restaurant specializes in round rice noodle soup. All noodle dishes made up of rice noodle and fillings. There are spicy ones and non spicy options. The house special rice noodle was what we had for lunch. The bowl was huge and we shared among three of us. The broth was clear and delicious. The noodle were soft and chewy. We also ordered the spicy beef rice noodle as well. Unlike the taiwanese version of the spicy beef noodle, the broth was not that spicy and the beef was more bland than the heavily marinated beef in the Taiwanese noodle. In addition to Yunnan style rice noodles, they also offer dumplings, potstickers and scallion pancakes. These are all good and tasty. I think the chef is from Northern China where the cuisine emphases spiciness and heavy sauce. The best dish we had was their sautéed egg plant with garlic. They don't use a lot of oil to cook the egg plant but the dish is very flavorful and tasty. The restaurant also offers ready made to go cold dishes that include vegetables and snack foods such chili oil pig ear, chicken feet, spicy beef and tripes. For three items, they can choose any of them on display and pay only$8.99. We also got a bag of frozen potsticker to go after lunch. The service was very good and our server was very friendly. She speaks both mandarin and Cantonese. The decor is more of old school as there is not much. Parking can be challenging as the 168 super market takes up most of the parking spaces.

This place is known for their Yunnan special rice noodles. Chicken broth, thick chewy rice noodles, served with several standard sides that is self added at the table. They also stir fry the rice noodles if one prefers the stir fry version. The store deli counter sells many well made small dishes to go with either porridge or noodles. 28 types if I counted correctly. Tasty and good value.

FOOD very popular choice. food here is spicy and flavorful. they offer cold dishes and hot dishes. mixian was pretty good—lots of flavor SERVICE service was also good. staff was pretty friendsly ENVIRONMENT has lots of seating but only two bathrooms: one for men and one for women. im sure it gets pretty busy so i dont think one stall is enough for the entire restaurant. parking is also pretty hard to find

Always my first stop when I go to Los Angeles. Authentic Szechuan and Yunan food . More than 15 items of side dishes at counter to choose from..Lots of selections from vegetarian food like cucumber, seaweed, king mushroom , wood ear, fried tofu ,etc to meat items like beef tenden, spicy chicken, sliced beef .. too many to count ..I usually ordered three items and they just piled up on your plate.. You can be full just by eating the side dish . Favorite dishes: thin sliced pork in garlic sauce, dry pot intestines, twice cooked pork, spicy boiled fish/ beef, fish fillets in nummy green peppercorns soup. Generous portion and very reasonable price.

The food was delicious and very affordable! We really enjoyed the Crossing Bridge Noodles and the cold tofu skin salad — fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The portion size was generous too. However, the restaurant could be a bit cleaner. The bathroom, in particular, wasn’t well maintained, which slightly took away from the overall dining experience. That said, we’ll still come back for the food — just hope they improve the cleanliness!
